Depression
Persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, or emptiness can lead to loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities, appetite changes, sleep disturbances, fatigue, and feelings of worthlessness. Difficulty with concentration, memory, and decision-making may occur, along with irritability or anger. In severe cases, thoughts of death or suicide may arise.
Anxiety
Anxiety presents through psychological effects (persistent worry, restlessness, a sense of doom), physical symptoms (rapid heartbeat, sweating, shortness of breath), and behavioral changes (difficulty concentrating, sleep disturbances, irritability, avoidance). Recognizing these signs aids in understanding and managing anxiety.
PTSD
PTSD symptoms include intrusion (flashbacks, nightmares), avoidance (steering clear of trauma reminders), arousal and reactivity (being jumpy, angry, having difficulty sleeping), and cognition and mood (negative thoughts, guilt, detachment). These symptoms, triggered by a traumatic event, can severely affect a person's daily life and well-being.
Trauma
Mental trauma, associated with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), presents symptoms like intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, nightmares, and avoidance of trauma reminders. Affected individuals may experience negative mood changes, such as fear and guilt, along with heightened arousal and reactivity, leading to disruptions in daily life and relationships.
